Hey- this Giving thing is crazy. Giving is absolutely emotional, and makes you feel good, but did you know that corporations only give 3% of the pie. Yes indeedy, 85% of giving is by individuals like you and me. That is big. Why don't corporations give more??? It simply is not in their budget, nor in their interest. They portion a certain budget for the corporate foundation arm of their company, then make it almost impossible for anyone other than the Red Cross, Unicef, The United Way (who routinely waste 80% or more), to get their already limited donations. Some corporations don't even allow non-profits to apply, but instead give to only one or two large Charities (that they may be board members of). Wait a minute, I love the Red Cross, don't get me wrong...but these large farm animals of the 70's are so lazy. If you are a Charity, your best bet is to go directly to the people. That is where your donations will materialize. The more people you contact, the better your results.
If you want to give, then give to Charities that really need your help. The small and medium size Charities are in need. Community giving rocks. With GiftBerry.org, donations go directly to the Charity Bank account, no middleman. GiftBerry also gives Award points when you give.

Your "large farm animal" reference demonstrates the flexibility of your mind. I look forward to future posts.
